Banff: a truly Divine masterpiece

     If you are looking for a great place to calm down and enjoy your vacations, Banff is the perfect choice for you. With lots of mesmerizing natural landscapes, this place could easily be described as a little piece of heaven on Earth.

     The Town of Banff is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Canada. Located inside Banff National Park, established in 1885, the town is one of the most precious and protected places in the world. The park is full of life and seems like a Divine masterpiece with a perfect mix of mountains surroundings, glacier-fed lakes and hot springs.

    Banff offers breathless landscapes and things to do any time.  From bike races, hiking, biking, fishing and camping in the summer to skiing, snowboarding, ice skating  in the winter, Banff always has a festival or sporting event taking place for you to enjoy. If you just want to unplug from the world, you can do it by staring at the amazing scenery or simply watch the sunrise or the sunset. 

     It is difficult to find the most beautiful spot in this heavenly view, but one of the most famous is the Lake Louise, with crystal clear blue water surrounded by mountains that almost touch the sky.

The Eiffel Tower (/ˈaɪfəl ˈtaʊər/ EYE-fəl TOWR; French: tour Eiffel French pronunciation: ​[tuʁ‿ɛfɛl]  listen) is a wrought iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Constructed in 1889 as the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair, it was initially criticized by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.^[2] The tower is the tallest structure in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world: 6.98 million people ascended it in 2011.^[3] The tower received its 250 millionth visitor in 2010.^[3]
The tower is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall,^[3] about the same height as an 81-storey building. Its base is square, 125 metres (410 ft) on a side. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to become the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930. Due to the addition of the aerial at the top of the tower in 1957, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building by 5.2 metres (17 ft). Not including broadcast aerials, it is the second-tallest structure in France, after the Millau Viaduct.
The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second. The top level's upper platform is 276 m (906 ft) above the ground,^[3] the highest accessible to the public in the European Union. Tickets can be purchased to ascend by stairs or lift (elevator) to the first and second levels. The climb from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the climb from the first level to the second.        This amazing symbol of the eternal city was built two thousand years ago, it is the most popular monument in the city, drawing thousands of tourists .This amphitheater was used as the scene of struggles of gladiators, spectacles with wild beasts and even naval battles, because the Coliseum had a system which transformed the arena in a large lake.It was built with marble, tile, tuff and travertina stone. It was so huge, that it was capable to receive nine thousand spectators
       It was destroyed by an  earthquake in the beginning of the 5th century and later restored. In the 13th century, was used as the military fortress. Between the 15th and 16th centuries has been the target of looters, who led a good part of valuable materials of construction .It was elected as one of the New Seven Wonders of the world in 2007, and it is one of the most popular places in Italy.

- ENGLISH BAY -

 

       I'd lived in Canada for 1 year and it has been the best experience in my life. In the beginning it was pretty hard to adapt but I got used to their culture easily.

 

       The days that I was homesick or sad about something else I used to go to English Bay. It is one of the famous beachs in Vancouver - Canada. Going there and sitting on the green grass just to see the dead waves in the ocean makes us thoughtful and calm. The atmosphere is tranquil, people are polite and they don´t care about what are you doing. You can see all kind of people doing all kind of things, like a old ladie riding her rollerblades to a young student boy sleeping over the sand.

 

       The view is amazing. and the wonderful thing about the sunset in the summer is that It sunsets at 10:00 p.m, I couldn't beleving when my friends told me but when the summer came out I was there in front of the ocean watching that perfect and unbelievable moment.

 

       On weekends some young talented guys (singers, wizzers, comedians,etc) usually go there just to show everyone what they can do, and when they realize there is a huge public watching them performing.

 

       If you like to be conected with nature and if you like tranquil and relaxed places you must go there one day and see how wonderful this place is.

Abram Recommends: Las Ramblas

Las Ramblas is an interesting area in Barcelona that attracts thousands of visitors every day.  A number of things make Las Ramblas a favorite of both tourists and locals.  The wide streets, for example, are lined with trees and picturesque buildings that are hundreds of years old.  In many places, the ground is decorated with colorful tiles and mosaics.  Las Ramblas is also known for its lively and festive atmosphere.  Diverse groups of performers from all over the world fill the streets.  Day and night, the area is alive with people singing and dancing and artists selling their goods.  And finally, near Las Ramblas is one of Barcelona's largest produce markets: La Boqueria.  It's the perfect place to pick up a snack.

Las Ramblas has something for everyone, but the streets can be crowded with tourists, particularly in the summer.  Parts of Las Ramblas can also be a bit seedy at night.  Although it's best to avoid this area after dark, overall Las Ramblas is a safe and entertaining area of the city.  I highly recommend it!
